Roles and permissions

InsightSpace evaluates access at three levels. The controls visible to a user depend on the combined platform, organization, and workspace roles assigned to that user.

Platform roles

Regular users work within their own permitted scopes. Platform administrators can have additional controls for users, audit activity, telemetry, licenses, and deployment-wide settings.

Organization roles

The final organization owner must remain an owner until ownership is assigned to someone else.

Organization owners and admins receive ownership-level management capabilities for workspaces owned by their organization. Organization members can receive additional workspace management capability through an explicit workspace assignment.

Tip

Grant the lowest role that supports the person’s task, and review both organization membership and workspace assignments when access changes.
