Working documents
A working document turns a research conversation into an editable deliverable. Use it for reports, briefs, case files, summaries, and other structured outputs that evolve with the research.
Create a working document
Section titled “Create a working document”Ask the assistant to save its result as a working document. State the audience, structure, tone, and citation requirements. For example:
Create a concise decision brief from our findings. Include an executive summary, the three available options, risks, open questions, and citations. Save it as a working document.
Each conversation can have one associated working document. A document icon in the conversation list indicates that one exists.
Preview and edit
Section titled “Preview and edit”Open Panels, then enable Files to view the document beside the conversation.
- Preview renders the Markdown and keeps citations interactive.
- Edit lets you change the title and Markdown directly.
Save edits before leaving the draft. You can discard unsaved changes to return to the last saved version.
Download
Section titled “Download”Download the result as:
- Markdown (
.md) - Microsoft Word (
.docx) - PDF (
.pdf)
Review every export before distributing it, especially page layout, tables, images, and cited claims.
