InsightSpace 1.4: German interface, Qwen3.8 Flash Next, and Google Gemini.

InsightSpace 1.4 is here. The interface now speaks German, there are new models to research with, and many small things got smoother.

The whole interface is now available in German. Open Profile → Language, pick Deutsch, and InsightSpace remembers your choice on every device you sign in from. Dates and numbers follow your language too. More languages are on the way.

The interface language does not affect AI conversations. The assistant remains multilingual and responds in the language you write to it in.

New models

In our testing, Qwen3.8 Flash Next comes very close to the intelligence of Claude Opus 4.8. That is impressive for an open-weight model that can run locally, on your own hardware. It is also more thorough than earlier Qwen models: it thinks longer, investigates more, and makes more use of research tools, so its answers are better grounded in your documents. It runs through DataSpace.

Google Gemini

A new provider integration brings Google’s Gemini models to InsightSpace. Gemini 3.8 Flash is a quick all-rounder for research and long documents; Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite is the fast, low-cost choice for simple questions. Gemini appears in the model picker once your administrator has connected Google. As with any cloud provider, check your organization’s data policy before using it for confidential material.

  • More new models: Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus 5.5, the GPT‑6 family (Astra, Sol, and Luna), and Muse Glimmer.
  • Sideways scans, fixed: InsightSpace detects rotated PDF pages and straightens them. If it guesses wrong, rotate the page yourself in the document viewer; your choice is kept.
  • Watch the research happen: each search and page lookup appears live while the assistant works.
  • For administrators: the API dashboard can filter by user, status, method, and endpoint.
  • Various bug fixes and performance improvements, including faster loading of PDFs.
